Call for Papers

The CitiVerse is a new kind of digital space where cities connect, collaborate, and co-create solutions for real-world challenges using shared digital tools and data. At its core are urban digital twins and immersive XR experiences that enable citizens and decision-makers to explore scenarios, test interventions, and participate in shaping urban life.

Topics of Interest

The topics include (but are not limited to):

CitiVerse architectures and reference models (city-scale metaverse stacks, edge–cloud–continuum deployment)
Urban digital twins: real-time data integration, simulation, and multi-scale modeling (building–district–city)
Interoperability and standards for city metaverses (semantics, APIs, ontologies, open data spaces)
XR for citizen engagement: participatory planning, deliberation, and co-creation workflows
Multimodal interaction, accessibility, and universal design for inclusive metaverse experiences
Generative AI for 3D city content, avatars, and urban scenario authoring
Trust, privacy, security, and identity management in urban metaverse platforms
Governance, ethics, legal aspects, and public value / digital sovereignty considerations
Evaluation, KPIs, and evidence from pilots: societal impact, usability, and adoption
Tooling and open-source platforms for CitiVerse applications, demos, and benchmarks
