Call for Papers
Scalability is one of the key evaluation criteria of computing systems. High scalability represents a kind of
elasticity,
which can guarantee high throughput, small delay, and high performance. Scalable computing and communications
are particularly
crucial in fields such as artificial intelligence, big data processing, and scientific computing, where
large-scale data
processing or complex computational tasks are common. To boost scalability, it's vital to utilize supportive
tools & platforms,
and high-performance communications & networking technologies. Additionally, optimizing algorithms and models
are essential for
efficiently managing increasing workloads and data volumes. Moreover, with the development of AI large model
technology, scalable
intelligent computing systems are also very important for creating intelligent environments, services and
applications.
The 26th IEEE International Conference on Scalable Computing and Communications (ScalCom 2026) will include a
highly selective
program of technical papers, panel discussions and keynote speeches. We welcome high-quality papers that
describe original and
unpublished research advancing the state of the art in scalable communication & networks.
Topics of Interest
The topics include (but are not limited to):
Types of Submissions
The conference welcomes high-quality, original research contributions that advance the scientific and technological foundations of the smart world. Authors are invited to submit their work in one of the following categories:
Full Papers
6 pagesComplete research studies containing significant findings, rigorous methodology, and comprehensive experimental or theoretical results.
Short Papers
4 pagesConcise contributions reporting promising early results, innovative ideas, or ongoing work that is expected to stimulate discussion and further development.
Poster & Demo Papers
2 pagesVisual or interactive presentations showcasing prototypes, systems, applications, or early research results that highlight practical innovations and emerging technologies.
Important: A submission can have at most 2 additional pages with the pages overlength charge, if accepted.
Publication and Indexing
All accepted and presented papers (full, short, and poster/demo) will be considered for the conference proceedings and indexing in major repositories.
IEEE Xplore
Submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
Major Databases
Indexed in Elsevier, IET, and Scopus.
Note: For a paper to remain eligible for publication, it must be presented in person (unless otherwise specified). At least one author must register for the conference and deliver the presentation.
Special Issue and Extended Versions
A Special Issue in a high-impact, ISI-indexed journal will be organized in conjunction with the conference. Authors of selected outstanding papers will receive an invitation to submit an extended version of their work.
Information about the journal partner and submission deadlines will be announced soon.
