Women in the Smart World Symposium 2026
Explore how contributions across industry, academia, and communities influence an equitable and inclusive Smart World
The narrative of this Symposium is shaped by the research, insights, and experiences of women and men whose work spans diverse disciplines and sectors within the Smart World ecosystem. Reflecting on the Congress theme, "Convergence of Minds: Forging Human-AI Partnerships Across Disciplines," the Symposium highlights how women bring together their expertise, lived experiences, cultural perspectives, and interdisciplinary collaboration to advance human-centred, responsible, and inclusive smart technologies. By showcasing the diverse voices driving innovation in Smart World systems and AI-enabled solutions, this Symposium demonstrates that women are not only contributing to technological advancement but are also helping to ensure that the future of AI is ethical, equitable, and beneficial to all of humanity.
This session builds on the keynote address, which establishes the foundation for the Symposium and serves as a catalyst for the panel discussion. These presentations will further explore the vital role that diversity plays in shaping effective human-AI partnerships and advancing Smart World technologies. Together, they will stimulate meaningful dialogue on how interdisciplinary collaboration and diverse perspectives can collectively shape AI ecosystems that prioritize fairness, representation, responsible innovation, and societal benefit.
